ZIM Announces an Investment in ZutaCore, a Pioneering Waterless 2-Phase Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) Solution for Data Centers

Investment is Part of ZIM’s Vision of Advancing AI and ESG Initiatives

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (NYSE: ZIM) is pleased to announce an investment it made in ZutaCore^®, a pioneering company based in Sderot, southern Israel. This investment reflects ZIM's commitment to sustainability and innovation, aligning with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, particularly in reducing power consumption and carbon footprint..

ZutaCore is at the forefront of transforming the data industry towards zero emissions with its innovative HyperCool^® technology. HyperCool is a waterless 2-phase direct liquid cooling (DLC) solution designed for mainstream data centers. The solution significantly enhances data center efficiency by tripling processing capacity, using 50% less energy, and halving the space required for conventional cooling systems. The scalable and easy-to-implement HyperCool system guarantees consistent performance in any climate and location, making it a game-changer for sustainable cooling. ZutaCore’s comprehensive solution not only reduces energy, water, land, and construction resource consumption but also slashes capital and operational expenditures, accelerates return on investments (ROI), and maximizes real estate assets’ value. ZutaCore's commitment to sustainability is further highlighted by its membership in the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance. The company recently announced a collaboration with industry giants SoftBank and Foxconn to collaborate on the design and development of a rack-integrated solution optimized for ZutaCore’s 2-phase DLC technology used in AI servers using NVIDIA H200 GPUs.

The investment of ZIM in ZutaCore was led by ZIM Ventures, ZIM’s corporate venture capital arm.
